Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 17, 2026
1. Introduction & Overview
FreeLoadPlan (“we,” “us,” or “our”), accessible at freeloadplan.com, provides free browser-based freight calculation and logistics planning tools. We recognize the importance of privacy and are committed to protecting the data of shippers, dispatchers, logistics coordinators, and all visitors to our site.
This Privacy Policy details what information is processed when you visit our website, how that information is utilized, and your choices regarding cookies, tracking, and stored workspace data.
2. Shipment Data and Local Computing
Unlike conventional SaaS platforms, FreeLoadPlan is architected to perform calculation routines locally on your client machine:
- No Server Transmission of Cargo Data: Handling-unit quantities, box dimensions (length, width, height), gross weights, pallet types, and shipment classifications entered into our calculators are processed strictly inside your browser's JavaScript runtime. They are not uploaded to any remote server or stored in any remote database.
- Browser Local Storage (
localStorage): To make switching between our Density, Class, Pallet, and Linear Feet calculators seamless, your current shipment workspace is cached locally in your browser'slocalStorage. This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser cache and cookies.
3. Analytics, Tag Management & Telemetry
To monitor technical performance, detect user interface issues, and understand traffic volume, we utilize industry-standard analytics tools:
- Google Tag Manager (GTM): Deploys measurement scripts asynchronously. To protect website speed and Core Web Vitals, our GTM container executes only after real human interaction (touch, click, scroll) and filters out synthetic bot traffic.
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4): Collects aggregated, non-personally identifiable diagnostic information including approximate geographic location (country/city level), browser type, operating system, referrer URL, pages visited, and interaction events. IP addresses are automatically anonymized.
- Microsoft Clarity: Provides anonymous aggregated heatmaps, scroll depth measurements, and session replays to identify broken buttons, dead clicks, or usability friction. Microsoft Clarity does not log sensitive personal inputs and masks user keystrokes.
4. Cookies and Web Storage Technologies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device to facilitate website navigation and analytics. FreeLoadPlan uses:
- Essential & Functional Storage: Local storage used solely to persist your unit preferences (inches/pounds vs. cm/kg) and shipment inputs across calculator tools.
- Analytics Cookies: Cookies set by Google Analytics (
_ga,_ga_*) and Microsoft Clarity to distinguish unique visitors and sessions.
You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent via your browser settings. However, our core calculation features will remain functional even if cookies are disabled.
5. Advertising & Third-Party Monetization
To keep FreeLoadPlan 100% free and accessible to all logistics professionals, we may partner with third-party advertising networks, such as Google AdSense:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to FreeLoadPlan and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or through aboutads.info.
6. Third-Party Infrastructure & Hosting
FreeLoadPlan is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare provides global content delivery network (CDN) edge routing, SSL/TLS encryption, and distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) mitigation. Cloudflare may process basic connection metadata (such as IP addresses and request timestamps) strictly for security and operational purposes in compliance with global security standards.
7. User Rights & Data Protection (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws (such as the European General Data Protection Regulation “GDPR” or the California Consumer Privacy Act “CCPA”):
- Because FreeLoadPlan does not maintain user accounts, require email registration, or store personal databases, we do not hold identifiable personal profiles.
- You maintain complete control over local shipment data and may erase all cached information at any time directly through your browser settings by clearing local storage for
freeloadplan.com.
8. Updates to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect new features, operational changes, or legal requirements. Any modifications will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
